THE PAIR of EAGLES...

DAY 31 part 2 THERE IS A PAIR of EAGLES...
I am so excited to be able to share my exciting update on the eagles. Two days ago I spotted a new Eagles nest on the main road to our subdivision. which I explained to you a couple of days ago, well yesterday I spotted one of the Eagles on a near by power line. So I decided to go check out the site to see if I could see anything today. Well on my way to the store I spotted what I thought was one of the Eagles peaking hi head of the side of the nest. But as I was returning home I stopped on the other side of the site, and WOW...Both Male and Female...I have these photos zoomed in almost the full 18x zoom, so they are not really as clear as I would like but I didn't realize how exciting it would be. I am thinking of going to the wild life refuge next weekend if it is warmer, to see what I can see out there. It is out by the space center and their are two really big returning pair of Eagles that nest out there as well. So we will see.
Grandma Eldona and I are taking Xander to the Zoo tomorrow so his other grandma can spend some time with him.
I will be back to post you some more goody but would like to say Thank you gals (3) so far that have sent in layouts from my Heritage kits I have been posting for the last month or so...I will make a slide show as soon as I get a few more, if I don't get anymore, I will post them anyway. Lets give it another week.
ENJOY the rest of your weekend and the SUPER Bowl fans have a wonderful time tomorrow.
Until Later, thank you all for your support.
Hugs

I have to share my Day 29 photo with you as I am really excite of what I found. Living in Florida, I have seen many flying Eagles, posted on fence posts, the ones in the Zoo, but I found a new Eagle nest today less than a 1/4 mile from my house. It is funny as I had seen this Eagle a few mornings, but by the time I could get the car stopped and camera in hand, of course it was out of sight. But tonight on my way home from work as I was driving the main road to my subdivision and going over the railroad track to my right are BIG power lines. I noticed something that looked like a Ospreys nest but as I got closer, the nesting material was too big for what they usually use. (we have lot of them on the highways in our area). So this is what I found....it explains why I have seen this Eagle flying in the same area more than once..... I am not sure if I had told you but I love watching birds of prey flying and in the wild. Something about their ease and gliding seem to give me a since of peace and freedom feeling. I will for sure to be watch this nest closely...it is new pair of Eagles as this nest has not been there long.
OK, enough babbling....here are your goodies.

DOWN by the LILY POND
by Mel's Lightbulb Moments (Mel Haines) and A Work in Progress (Vicki Parker)
I wanted to share a few layouts and kits that my good friends are sharing from their blogs and a new kit Mel has in her store. I feel bad that I didn't upload these to her gallery in time for her to post them on her blog post so I am post tonight to show you what she is offering to share with Scrapland.
I love this little collab Mel and Vicki did together. The color palette is awesome and the papers are outstanding. Since I am on Mel's Creative team I have did a layout of only her part of the kit and I have one started that I will be back to post to show you with Vicki's part.....Click on the images, and it will take you to their blogs. There you will see all the awesome work their CT have done as well.

I used the photo I took on Day 23 of my project 365. I was on my way home form work and stopped by the roadside park to see if I could find some wild life or some interesting to take for my project and stood there by the water looking over the river. It was so calm and peaceful...but a cold day so I didn't see much wild life as I usually do so I thought I need to get creative here as it was almost getting too dark to photograph anything....the rivers edges, so calm and clear I could see the bottom even through the lens...so that was it. Day 23, The River's Edge.
Next is a mew kit Mel has in her store at !Scrapbook. What a wonderful kit to scrap the one you "Forever Love".
Forever Love by Mel Haines in her store at !scrapbook
This is my sister, Amber, on her special day in 2002 (no, I don't remember the date, CRS has really been in full swing lately).....they looked so happy then as they both seem even more in love now.I will be back with a layout with A Work in Progress, Vicki Parkers part of the collab her and Mel did "Down by the Lily Pond". You can get her part if you click on the image below...Be Back soon!

Please make sure that you leave these gals lots of love by posting a comment on their blogs...and thank you so much for stopping by. Thank all of you that has stopped by to collect my freebies the last couple of days. I see that a lot of you have been collecting and I appreciate all the lovely comments here on my blog as well as on 4share....I will have a new goodie for you in a couple of days.

I am Back...with your Alpha for "Hearts As One".
I have been a busy scrapper today, I just relaxed and decided to sit back and do some layouts today when I got home from my little get away. I had a wonderful time. Visited with a friend, helped her move a few things, she took me out to dinner and we went to see a play at the Melbourne Theatrical (local theather group). The play was called "Driving Miss Daisy". It was really enjoyable. I had never been to one as I explained my last post...I hope to go see another soon with her. She and her partner belong to the group and they have a great time together. Then we went to Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream so that I could share my (new) favorite ice cream with them, "Strawberry Cheesecake".
I stopped by to see the grandbabies on the way home and boy they were so excited to see "Grandmama". Mikey was hanging out the door and Baby Javi was standing on the steps, "Grandmama, Grandmama is here." And my little man, Xander standing in the door way, reaching for me as he always is....I love being greeted so lovingly. After our usual hugs and kisses and a few pictures, as Grandma can't wait to capture their sweet little faces all happy, Xander started climbing on the coffee table, that they had just moved back in the living room since Xander started crawling. He got so mad because mommy won't let him climb on it, I got this picture in the first layout below. I did it with a freebie I collected from Sarah of Sweet Blossom Designs. You can find it HERE.

Here is "Xander's Mad Face" layout is did. Thank you so much Sara, this freebie is wonderful and awesome to work with.

This next one I did for my MOM for Mother's Day...yes a little ahead of myself, but I made this with Bon Scrapatit's Blog Freebie "Love me Tender" and Just had to use it for my mom, as it is her favorite colors and I know she would love. The photos were the ones the three of us had made this past summer when my sister and I went to visit her. I called this one Treasured Memories.

This one is Hearts As One and I used a template I had got for a challenge but I can't remember where I got it from...I do know who's template it is. Credits for template goes to Mandak and her blog is HERE.
Here is one I did with my new Freebie. I would like you to know that the picture of me and Dusty was taken by Mikey, he is five and really thought he was something, getting to use grandma's new camera. Not too bad...I guess.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this kit as much as I did making it your alpha is below. Remember tomorrow is Monday and Mel and Vicki has a new Collab coming out...it is so cute. Make sure you check it out.

Good Morning I hope everyone is waking up late this morning and staying in their warm beds. As here is a weather up date from Central Florida.....BABY IT COLD OUTSIDE....29 degrees when I got up this morning. I got up late this morning so I can't babble here too much but I am not to sure what the hurry is, I work at an ice plant.....who needs ice in this weather???????? It is suppose to be even colder tonight with froze warnings. BRRRRR..
Here is a scrapatit I made with the Lovely Linda's new blog freebie "Love Me Tender"..I hope you enjoy it. I used it with a self portrait of my granddaughter, Brittany. She LOVES taking photo of herself, acting like a glamor girl. Her mother will come over and I usually ask her to bring her camera in so that I can download the photos from it and the last few times there has been TONS of pictures of Brittany. She is looking so grown up now and of course that is what she is trying ot do in the photos, LOOK grown up. If she only knew how much stress comes with being a GROWN UP..................................Enjoy!

Treasured Heritage Elements and some other news from My Digital World and Scrapland.
Good evening, I hope this finds all had or still having a wonderful weekend and staying warm...it is still cold here for us (37 degree at night). This is pretty cold for a suppose to be Tropical, palm trees and sandy beaches, one would not think we would be wearing a heavy winter jacket in the middle of the day much less shoes socks and long sleeves while walking on the beach....but the sun is shining, just not warming up enough (50 degrees for the high)...LOL. Yes this is unseasonably cold weather we are having, but I really don't mind since I am stuck behind a book about ancient art history. Oh joy, history isn't one of my favorite subject, but since it is Art...it isn't too bad...just boring reading.
OK, tomorrow Mel will be release her new blog kit, so I will post about that tomorrow, but I do have something from my friend Kathy at Kathy's Scraps with what is going on in her blog and digital world. I was very surprise to see that she collected and use "Tropical Flurries" from WIASWL collab. Although I do know she like bright and cheerful colors to scrap with. Very Nice job Kathy and thank you for all your support as I am working my way through school...please remember to leave her a comment on her blog. Just click the image to check it out...BUT don't for get to grab your freebie here first (down at the bottom of my post).

I have two more assignment to finish up tonight so I will catch up my slide shows with my photos for 365 project and my Week two and Three layouts this week some time. But I am keeping up with the photo a day. I did get a good shot (I think it will show up good) of the rocket that went up last night as well. Ok, enough babbling (and avoiding what I am suppose to be doing, Art Appreciation assignments.) Be back tomorrow evening with Mel's new blog freebie and a special treat from me too. Enjoy your evening......

JUST SCRAPPING and SHARING
Well it was my first week back in classes so I haven't done much in the way of designing, but I have been relaxing by doing some scrapping. As I am cleaning up my hard drive I have found a couple of kits I bought and haven't used yet...imagine that, finding a kit you haven't used yet...LOL. And how many do you have????? But we won't go there....250 gig drive with 200 gig full of nothing but digital scrapping and photos. This first one is my Day one photo for the 365 photo challenge... read comments below each one!
Day 1- We have been going to the Quick's house for New Year's dinner for about four years now. Laura and Gerry are good friends of ours and with the holidays being so busy, we get together on this day each year to have a special dinner and visit.Credits: Going Dotty Alpha-A work in progress,Template-Andrea Gold, Winter Kiss-Nikki Beaudreau and (Number) Chubby Alpha-Kitty Design. Stitching by Cyntha Angiel.Christmas Wishes (Frame) by Lorie M.
Day 9 - By request of my BFF, Linda, I decided to take a few pictures of my "feathered babies" The first one is Ruby and the second is Elmo, which I haven't scrapped yet but will do and add late this week.Ruby is an Grand Eclectics(one of the only parrots that you can tell the females-which are red from the males-which are green), that I got as a hatchling and hand feed her after her first 6 weeks with her mother, Scarlet (a bird I hand feed at a pet store that I worked at years ago). Scarlet ended up being donated to the Brevard Zoo as her owner couldn't handle her (they are known as being biters and one person birds). Anyway Scarlet laid her first egg after she arrived at her new home, Charlie (my ex-husband works at the zoo as a Keeper) found her egg in time to take it into the nursery to be put in an incubator. A few weeks after she hatched, Charlie's boss asked if he wanted the bird as he had found the egg and took care of it plus he also knew and had handled Scarlet from the pet store...we are talking about an $800.00 bird retail...just a little history. There is more to that history but I won't bother with how I ended up with her.
The hatchling was my beloved "RUBY". She Hatched the same day as my first grandson, Chaz, was born, Dec 26. 15 years ago. But over the years, Ruby has become VERY VERY attached to JJ (my partner) and doesn't have nothing to do with me. She even goes as far as trying to attack me, (yes the hand that feeds her) if she is out of the cage on the floor and sees me (boy would that be a picture for the 365 photo challenge...LOL). So needless to say she is no longer my bird, my "Baby Girl" (one of the words I taught her) is JJ's Bird. Yes she is a biter too, except for JJ, He can do anything with her, which she loves. Doesn't talk much, but can sure get you hopping by thinking your cell phone is ringing.

Day 6- I stopped by to see my sweet little guys to see them ride their new bikes. As they were getting excited and wanting to run out the door, I stopped them to take this photo and being so excited about going out side, they weren't to happy to stop for ANOTHER photo, Grandma!Credits: Jeanealogy by Bon Scrapatit Designs
Well, I hope to have a few goodies for you all by the end of the week. I started a little something and will post as soon as I get it all together. Have a wonderful week and see you around scrapland!
Saturday, January 10, 2009
Here is a layout I did with Vicki's new kit, Chocolate Valentine. You can find her kit Here in her store at Eidou . Make sure you check out her blog too as she always has awesome stuff. Usually a full kit each week. Please make sure you post a comment on her blog to let her know how we all appreciate her beautiful work.I hope you like it Vicki. This kit is awesome and wonderful to work with. I love how the textures of the papers and everything else looks after I posted. GREAT job Vicki....it is a most have kit for all your Valentines.
Day 2- This is one of my niece, Gracie. She is one of the little girls I have been scrapping for the last four years...anyway I went to visit my sister for the weekend and we were out side with the girls and Gracie just had to show me how to use her fishing pole in her pool. She was a very good caster too!
Good afternoon everyone... I hope you are enjoying your evening. So how is everyone doing with the huge challenges that I have noticed all over scrapland, Project 365 photo per day? When cruising my regular blogs and sites, I have seen all kinds of versions of this very popluar challenge. I have been working on mine too. Woo Hoo, I have taken a photo or two each day....Labeling them and doing some journal notes for each one, too. I will post five more of them tomorrow or Monday, but here is my first layout from that project. I want to do a layout with my new release, Snowflakes, Too! It finally got put in my store last week and this was a good photo (Day 3) to do it with. Here are my journal notes for it:
Day 3- On the second night I was at my sisters, she wanted to share a special kind of ice cream she found, Strawberry Cheese Cake with graham cracker crust in it...and she made me laugh as we had been visiting my mom together over the summer and she was always telling us we were using the wrong bowls for things we were eat....long story...so my sister said, "To share this special ice cream we have to have a SPECIAL bowl, Ice cream cone shaped bowls with SPECIAL SPOONS, too!" and we both laughs so hard....so the picture is Gracie and Amber getting the SPECIAL bowl out and fulling them with the SPECIAL ice cream. Brandon really thought we were crazy as we keep asking each other, "Doesn't is taste better in the SPECIAL bowls and spoons."

Posting them a week at a time. And as I get the layouts finished I will post what they all mean to me. The photos will be named in the slide show like DAY 1, Day 2, ect. and I will post the meaning weekly with what even I am posting for you.
Here are the first five Days:
Day 1- We have been going to the Quick's house for New Year's dinner for about four years now. Laura and Gerry are good friends of ours and with the holidays being so busy, we get together on this day each year to have a special dinner and visit.
Day 2- This is one of my niece, Gracie. She is one of the little girls I have been scrapping for the last four years...anyway I went to visit my sister for the weekend and we were out side with the girls and Gracie just had to show me how to use her fishing pole in her pool. She was a very good caster too!
Day 4- This is my SANTA collection. I have been collecting them for about 15 years now...Ole World Santas. I guess because I STILL BELIEVE in the magic of SANTA
Day 5- This is a Snowman I have for a Christmas deco and I was just practicing taking a close up with my new camera on a White subject taking not to have the light glaring off it. Not too bad...Practice makes a better use of the camera...Right?
Here is a layout I did with Mel_H new Digital Kit, "Dreams" You can get it !Scrapbook in her store. This is an adorable baby kit that can be for girls and boys alike. This is my youngest grandson, Xander, 1 month old. Make sure you check out Mel's Blog for a special freebie that goes with this kit...Remember to Thank Mel by leaving her a comment on her blog.
I was during the holidays but I did get a few thing done up ahead for you...like the Quick page, which Bon Scrapatit Designs likes to call the SCRAPATITS. I have to say that I think her And Winter Came is one of the best winter kits I saw in the Christmas Around the World 2008....I love blue and green together anyway, but with the white, glitter and glitz she added...OUTSTANDING job....I love it. It is still on her sidebar available to downloading, but remember to show her lots of love and appreciation for her hard work and her BIG giving HEART.

Happy New Year everyone. I am sorry I have not been back for a few days, but I am still having trouble getting the one kit I had ready upload to the store, so I thought I would drop by to let you know what was going on. I have been doing well with the challenge 365 Photo Project, but haven't posted any of them yet. I think I am going to just add a slide show here on my blog of the pictures I take. Posting them a week at a time. And as I get the layouts finished I will post what they all mean to me. The photos will be named in the slide show like DAY 1, Day 2, ect. and I will post the meaning weekly with what even I am posting for you.
