The rush is starting to hit me now...good thing I had got this 12 days Before Christmas finished ahead of time. I just sat down 10:45 pm and I got home at 6:00pm. The phone has been non stop...almost all of my grandsons birthdays are around holidays and my oldest grandson's birthday is the day after Christmas, poor kid. He calls himself the "forgotten child". Which of course he isn't but his birthday is never as big as his sisters, which is in the spring. The other two are too young to realizes yet. So we are planning a surprise party for him on Christmas Day. (We are not ALL going to be together until the following Sunday and he thinks that is when he will see us, so Jess (my oldest daughter) and I came up with suprising him...although we all won't be here, it is going to be HIS Day! and He will be so suprised. He is just like his mother, "You know Grandma, my birthday is the day after Christmas" (like I am going to forget, he won't let me...LOL) Little hints he threws out there, trying to fish for information and attention...Very senative kid too! So I will let you all know how it works out. . .enough babbling...so Here is your FREEBIE for my 12 Days Before Christmas: DAY 9 QP . I hope you like it. Tomorrow is a new Holiday exspecially for us DIGITAL Scrappers. It is National Digital Scrapbooking Day! For all who has become addicted, it is giving us another SPECIAL day to sit at our computer all day, chatting in our favorite sites, downloading as many freebies as we can get and buying what we can or can't not afforded because it is on SALE. But remember to tell anyone complaining to you, you spend too much time Digital Scrapping, that one day when I am gone everyone in the family will be able to share our family memories that are better documented with special journaling and dates along with who and where they are. Much better than some of our Grandma's boxes of photos, which more times than not, leave us guessing all these things above.
I would like to share a new adventure Kathy Brandt and I have taken over, Scrap Kit Challenge. She and I had been working on this monthy challenge together and Kathy had been asked if she would like to take it over. Wow, our own site! But we didn't have much time to get everything together, we pulled it off. Our site went live last weekend. Learning, Creating and Sharing Together is what this site is all about.
It is a site for those wanting to learn to design and create digital scrap kit on their own. You have to sign up for sign here, and then each week we have planned out what part of the kit we are working on. We have tons of free tutorials to use for almost every graphic program, and you work at what you feel comfortable at. We have a yahoo group where you can ask the memebers or us questions if you are having trouble with something your working on along with our site being full of information to all stages of learning. So I visit you to join Kathy and I in Learning, Creating and Sharing Together at SCRAP KIT CHALLENGE.
Here is my final week of "No Tricks, Just Treats" Halloween Kit. I would like to thank everyone who has visited my blog each week for MY FIRST kit and if you email me at snowsmoon@yahoo.com I will send you a bonus Freebie from this kit.
Also please keep coming back weekly as I will be featuring some quick pages next month for some quick ideas for the up going holidays. Also I am trying to get a store set up here, which should be ready for December. Happy Scrapping and please send my a link to any of your layouts you have posted using "No Tricks Just Treats". I would love to see them and send you some added freebies.
Well Ladies...all your hard work has finally got me to this, My First Digital Scrap Kit. Woo Hoo.... I would like to thank all the wonderful people I have meet along the way. To all of you that helped me jump all the hurdles, learn all the short cuts, and the right way to post some wonderful layouts from all my mentors. I started out by checking out a digital site my friend told me about, 3SCRAPATEERS. That was Lianne Carper's mother, telling me about all the beautiful things her daughter designed. Well I went out and bought Paint Shop Pro and started playing around with it. For the for some time all I did was copy and paste. Then after repeat returns to the 3S site, I found a call for mods. This way I could earn some kits and see what everyone was posting. About three months later I joined the Creative Team, where I first started working with my BEST FRIEND, Linda Walton. She worked so hard proofing everything I had to post...grammar is still bad but she has helped alot. After joining the CTeam, the events that followed kind of running together, Crops, Chats, Special events, and Challenges. Nearly a year had past and they had their Beach Retreat which I gladly attended. This was the first time meeting each other, the Diva's together in NC, at Brenda Cooks beautiful beach front home. WOW...to meet and touch so many of the gals I had been emailing and chatting with. One of the most touching moment was getting to meet Karen Halgen, the big hugs was very tearful. We had a wonderful time. Stacey Kluczny even got to fly from Canada with her family the meet her two partners for the first time. It was a special time for all of us. Next, I was asked to join their Home Team, which is where I meet and start working with Kathy Brandt . What a wonderful time we had working on the newsletter and a monthly crop and challenge called Power Holidays, which we did for a whole year. During December of 2006 we started putting together 3Scrapateers first ezine . It was an awesome task but with Kathy's organizational skill things went pretty well. We pulled it off and the second ezine that came out a couple of month after the first and a newsletter in between. After almost three years with these ladies, I took a break on May of this year...to learn in more depth how to design with PSCS2. So the Kit is made for you to see all the hard work you put into me, paid off. Now I want to take this moment to Thank YOU ALL, everyone of you who has touched my digital life, each in your own special way are so SPECIAL to me.
Brenda, Lianne and Stacey, 3SCRAPATEERS will always be part of my life and thank you so much for helping me shine my wings so that I can fly!
